Project Flow Process
Enquire
Contact OptiYield with your requirements. We gather project essentials like location, crop type, size, and timeline to understand your needs.
Define the Use
We establish project goals, including growing methods, ventilation, structural spans, and crop-specific layout considerations.
Assess the Best Structure
We evaluate whether a standard range, modified tunnel, or a bespoke custom design provides the optimal solution for your site.
Site Visit or Survey
For complex installations, we conduct on-site surveys to assess ground conditions, wind exposure, drainage, and installation access.
Quote and Proposal
We provide a formal proposal outlining the structure, supply scope, optional add-ons, and detailed project assumptions.
Final Agreement
Upon acceptance, we finalize specifications, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure full alignment before production begins.
Local Manufacturing
Your structure is fabricated locally to ensure high quality, flexibility, and designs specifically built for African farming conditions.
Delivery and Installation
We dispatch and deliver the components to your site, offering full installation, coordination, or self-installation support.
Handover and Support
Once operational, we remain available for project-related support, maintenance, future expansions, or modifications.
Manufacturing Capabilities
We are currently waiting on Optiyield to provide the correct and approved information regarding exact production outputs, facilities data, and machinery specifications.
Project Size Capability
OptiYield supports a wide range of project sizes, from small-scale growing tunnels to larger commercial greenhouse and agricultural structures. Our completed and current project sizes range from smaller backyard and hobby structures to commercial facilities and growing areas exceeding 5,000m2.
Standard and Bespoke Manufacturing
OptiYield offers standard tunnel ranges for clients who need a practical and efficient solution. Where a standard tunnel is not the right fit, we can modify an existing range or manufacture a bespoke structure from scratch. This may include changes to span, height, length, bay spacing, ventilation requirements, covering type, crop support, access points, cladding, removability or internal layout.
Lead Times
Lead times depend on the project size, structure type, level of customisation, material availability, site readiness and installation scope. Standard tunnel ranges generally allow for faster turnaround, while larger bespoke structures or more complex projects require additional design, planning and manufacturing time. Because OptiYield manufactures locally, we can offer competitive lead times compared with imported alternatives, while avoiding many delays associated with international shipping, import logistics and fixed overseas catalogue supply.
Setting Realistic Expectations
OptiYield’s strength lies in our local factory manufacturing capability. We do not simply import and resell standard tunnel kits. We design, manufacture and deliver greenhouse tunnels, growing structures and agricultural steel structures through our own factory capability, giving clients greater flexibility, practical quality control and structures built around African farming conditions. Our factory has been manufacturing greenhouse and growing structures for clients since 1989, supporting projects that range from small backyard and hobby tunnels to commercial growing areas and facilities of 5,000m2 and more.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common queries regarding our manufacturing process, design approach, and project installation services.
Yes. OptiYield manufactures greenhouse tunnels and growing structures locally through our own factory capability. Our factory has been manufacturing greenhouse and growing structures for clients since 1989. Local manufacturing allows us to offer better flexibility, practical quality control and structures designed around African farming conditions.
We offer both. OptiYield has standard tunnel ranges for clients who need a practical and efficient solution. Where a standard tunnel is not the right fit, we can modify an existing range or manufacture a bespoke structure from scratch. Our approach is simple: standard where it works, bespoke where it matters.
We start by understanding what the structure needs to achieve, including your crop, site, growing method, required size, ventilation needs, covering requirements, internal layout and future expansion plans. We then recommend whether a standard structure, modified range or bespoke design is the best fit.
Yes. Depending on the project scope, OptiYield can assist with installation, coordinate installation partners or provide consultation for clients who choose to manage their own installation. Installation requirements are confirmed during the quotation and project planning phase.
